New Freeride Trail

Monday, June 4th, 2007

This last week we’ve put a serous amount of hours into working on an old freeride trail that hasn’t been ridden much in recent years to turn it into (hopefully) an awesome advanced freeride trail. Work in progress on log rideNewly contructed ladder bridge

The original trail was a super steep trail incorporating near vert rock-rolls, ladder drops & steep rooty chutes.  A large tree had fallen across the trail blocking the line, so i’m making a few alterations.  There’s now the choice of skinny to 40ft log-ride to rock steps, or skinny to 20ft log ride to drop to ladder, or avoiding the log and taking the ladder.  We’ve also cleaned up the rest of the trail & are in the process of replacing all the old shonky ladder drops with properly constructed new ones.

Hopefully the trail will soon be upto scratch and ready to be ridden, I’ll have to wait and see if I’ll be able to clean it because it looks to be super tech & might require some sessioning.
