Pemberton Day Tour
Tucked beyond the Coast Mountains north of Whistler lies Pemberton Valley, a green pocket of agricultural land widely known for its seed potatoes, and affectionately dubbed "Spud Valley" by locals. Visitors remark upon the beauty of this stretch of peaceful farmland sheltered all around by the majestic snow-capped Coastal Mountains.

Pemberton’s location leads to it enjoying its own micro-climate, where temperatures are generally a good few degrees warmer then in Whistler and the precipitation is noticeably reduced. All this lends to some great conditions for mountain biking, it’s not uncommon for the trails to be dry and dusty all season long.
Aside from the Sea to Sky Trail, the heart of mountain biking in the Pemberton region is centred around Mosquito and Ivey Lakes. The two lakes are tucked in behind a knoll on the north side of the valley between Pemberton and Mount Currie.
A dozen or more trails wind in and out of each other; principal among them are Dark Forest, Econoline, and Lake Loop Trails. As for freeriding there a good number of trails that have been skilfully crafted by local riders, these can be found in the Mackenzie Basin and Mosquito Lake area.
Other trails are located just south of the village at One-Mile Lake, from here there are a number of all-mountain routes that lead off a good old technical single-track climb.
